Critical Conversations and Negotiations
This course helps participants handle sensitive workplace conversations and negotiations more effectively by combining simulations practice, feedback, and practical communication techniques.This course is designed for managers, team leaders, and HR professionals who need to handle challenging workplace conversations with clarity, empathy, and confidence. Through in-class simulations, instructor guidance, and peer feedback, participants will practice active listening and open questioning to gain insight into the motivations, goals, and concerns of others.
Outcome: Participants will learn to listen under pressure, ask useful questions, manage difficult exchanges, and negotiate better outcomes while preserving working relationships.
Details: Starting 1:30–4:30 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 17; duration: 6 weeks. Venue: central Tokyo, location to be confirmed.
Delivery: English intermediate level (TOEIC 700); in person.
Description: Simulations will be used throughout the course. Each class is highly interactive and addresses real workplace conversations. In the first sessions, participants will strengthen their ability to actively listen and engage others with greater empathy, helping them to determine more acceptable solutions that may not be immediately apparent. In later sessions, participants will practice fundamental negotiation techniques and concepts to pursue better outcomes for both sides. Through self-review and immediate advice, participants will discover ways to build on their strengths while limiting weaknesses. They will also become better prepared to handle hardball tactics designed to intimidate or pressure them into making undesirable concessions.

Winning Presentations
This course for anyone professional involved in presentations. Instructor guidance, and peer feedback, will guide participants through the essentials of presentations, enabling them to become more effective in not only the presentation itself, but the Q&A, which is where most presenters struggle.
Outcome: Participants will become better presenters, delivering more persuasively with greater confidence. They will also improve their ability to anticipate questions from audiences, whether it is a one-on-one or a seminar hall.

Delivery: English intermediate level (700 TOEIC); in person.
Description: Each class is highly interactive and addresses real situations requiring presentations. Participants are expected to bring in work-related questions, problems, and even presentations for advice and support from the instructor and peers. This course aims to enhance not only the logical flow, but the emotional flow, as well, of any presentation. So that presenter establishes a credible yet emotional connection with the audience. In the first sessions, participants learn how to express empathy and humility, without sacrificing confidence. In later sessions, will practice engaging with the audience. Even with the largest lecture halls or toughest crowds a presenter will find ways to break through the invisible wall that separates the audience from full engagement in the objective of the presentation. Each participant will discover their own personal approach that enhances their strengths while reducing their weaknesses.
